The problem is there's legions of still neglected artists from this era that are all but impossible to find without buying bootlegs, boxsets and imports (Jamaicans and Europeans seem to give this music its proper due). Tons of one-hit wonders, and some performers with fairly deep catalogs. And if you like Jordon, be sure and check out Wynonie Harris.

That said, Jordon was king for a reason.
