okay, anime nerd here to explain: the character doing most of the lipsyncing in the video (the balding guy with the beard and eye staple) is Jet, aka the Black Dog, and he's an ex-cop and righteous, fussy, father-figure-type bounty hunter (bounty hunters are called cowboys in bebop). What makes this video even more awesome is that his character would absolutely agree with the sentiments of this song. This video is so achingly perfect for the character, I swear I swooned during viewing.
Not too much prostitution going on in bebop, except for the random background ho. Though, I guess they're all whores to/for something, if you want to get all baked-ly philosophical about it. ^_^
