Needless to say, we wuv The Judy's.

Recently, two of my old-skool Austin pals fessed up that they'd seen The Judy's open for the B-52's, and that yes, it was indeed one of the most awesome experiences ever. Color me jealous.

the rich girls are weeping

The Judys is one of my favorite bands ever! I saw them play in Houston when I was a mere chickie, and two of my girlfriends and I were their biggest fans! Nobody else in our high school, or any other high school in Texas knew about them. We lived off of MOO, Ghost in a Bikini, and the entire Washarama album - peppy bouncy sound & cutting, darkly funny lyrics. I was so disappointed to find out that nobody in my college knew who they were, or for that matter, nobody outside of Houston, TX. I was always hoping to find other Judys fans. I am buying the re-release tonight! Thanks!

Kiki8

Thanks for this post, I'm glad to see the Judys getting long-overdue attention. I was a teen in Houston during the mid 90s alterna/punk boom, and the only place I could hear their music was off of tapes that a friend had dubbed from one of the few records anyone had. Makes me happy to hear about the re-releases.

heyzeus
