I was once offered free front row tix to a Slipknot show. I only knew their hit from several years ago and had no idea what to expect and it was one of the absolute most entertaining shows I've ever seen.

Still the only time in my life where I saw a drummer play a 15-minute solo perpendicular to the ground, on a drum kit that went almost all the way around him.

One would think that wearing masks this large and cumbersome might affect a bands ability to properly articulate difficult instrumental passages.

But not Slipknot. They're that good!

Without having listened extensively to their music or owning any albums, I consider myself a Slipknot fan. It appeals to the 13 year-old boy in me, and I appreciate what it takes to maintain a large band. I think they're ridiculous and cool.

I like this. Bread & Puppet for the metal set.
