@mykul: I agree completely with TGIFY, way too many people on one damn song lol. I think MC held her own on OSD though.

Mariah is certainly guilty of this (esp at the earlier part of this decade), and I'm happy to see that on this record and Emancipation that her singles were/are solo efforts without the use of a rapper to bring in a different audience (Snoop being the exception).

I'm just making the point that SO many songs are like that these days, and you can barely even notice Madonna on her latest track.

HONEYBFLY

Couldn't one say the same thing about Thank God I Found You, or especially One Sweet Day? Anyway, the song is a far cry from Madonna's best by any means and is a blatant attempt for her to get some attention from US top 40, but I'm still slightly happy to see her having some success.

mykul

I have a hard time with a "featured" artist (Timberlake) and producer (Timbaland) performing (and in this case, out-performing) more on the track than the lead artist (Madonna).

This has become a very unfortunate trend in music in the last couple of years, as record execs desperate for a hit combine artists with 2 established fan bases in their attempt to cross-market.

The result is a sad muddling of sounds that lumps so many of these singles into one big gross genre of "Pop".

I'd hardly refer to that as a hit by Madonna, despite what the charts seem to indicate.

HONEYBFLY
