Grouch definitely is capable of straying into the awkward zone in indie-rap, but he's got a pretty tremendous skill set. The early Living Legends shit would be vastly different without him, and his early cassette material (I'm partial to "Nothing Changes") is classic shit. Still, though, the remix of "Artsy" (edIT is an absolute monster) pretty much makes that incarnation obsolete.

Love the Wood Brothers -- Chris Wood is the bassist for Medeski Martin & Wood, favorites of "mature, discerning audiences who care about real music" everywhere.

I got a little one (OK their big in Holland) for you guys next week -- C-Mon & Kypski. Listen to the track 'Circus C-Mon & Kypski' -- it's some of the weirdest, coolest shit I've heard in a long time. It's completely original too. I'd say theyre ahead of their time but I really have no clue what that even means.
