The song was written by Beyoncé, Amanda Ghost, Ian Dench, and Stargate members Mikkel S. Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen and produced by Stargate and Beyoncé for the re-release of her B'Day album.

According to the Wik, Ian Dench was the guitarist and principal songwriter for EMF. He also wrote Jordin Sparks' "Tattoo".
