Hey now, Billy Vera is the quintessential local-bar-rock-guy (and liner notes-writin' music geek) who made good with his big sappy ballad hit--after years of playing TV production wrap parties, he finally got his sync on. And maybe you had to be in the throes of a break-up to appreciate it at the time, but this is very good contender in the sappy-ballad genre. The whole "if I could just hold you again" really makes it, if you've been there.
