That's the real blasphemy! That is akin to mistaking lacrosse for golf or American football for frisbee football. The level of physical contact between shinty and field hockey is comparable to the level of physical contact between ice hockey (a sport inspired by shinty once Scottish immigrants to Canada attempted to play it on ice a couple of hundred years ago) and tennis. Stupid fucking Americans-- no wonder you cover yourself up with protective padding whenever you try to play something more rigorous than baseball..

I have a confirmation name and everything. (Does Catholic still count as Christian? A couple guys I met in a bar a couple years ago swore it doesn't anymore, but I think they were pulling my leg. And hey, even John C. Hagee seems to be leaning toward my position on the issue this week!) Also, I didn't keep a tally, but I'm pretty sure I've made fun of a few more indie-rock bands than Christian-rock bands in my time. (I also gave Amy Grant's *Heart in Motion* an A in Entertainment Weekly once! And I'm still waiting for Billboard to intiatate its Muslim hip-hip and sodomite nu-folk charts.
