My former band mate, a female bass player, once auditioned for some incarnation of Hole and got pretty far along in the process. The thing that stopped her from pursuing it further was when Ms. Love informed her she would want the rights to every song said former band mate had ever played on in case her sudden fame as a member of Hole brought those songs more attention and potential royalties.

So, female bass players of the world, you can breathe a sigh of relief!
