I must be a bad journalist that this is the first I've heard of a feud brewing... since I was the guy who provided DEP a platform.

The quote is from an interview I did prior to their Australian tour. And I'm glowing with pride that these two were having a pointless spat with each other because of something I wrote.

The broader story was as follows -

Declaring yourselves as 'unpredictable' is often a way to demonstrate how hugely predictable you are. But Weinman's cure is to interact with all their different environments (Puciato is also renowned for perilously scaling the insides of a venue and using every inch of stage). The set list is one constant, but what happens in between a song starting and finishing, "none of us know."

When Dillinger find themselves on dual headlining bills, or festivals, they get to see the sadly rehearsed acts of other bands. Heavy rock cavemen Disturbed were soundchecking before an English show and Weinman was taken aback that they were "practicing where they were going to walk and when they were going to put their leg up on the monitor and pose. That was weird for us. There are times where I don't even know where I am."

Wanks to self...

Stir

Wait... Firt of all who the hell is DEP and so what if Disturbed is practicing their light cues. Why not worry about their show and stop trying to poke at bands that have more fans and more sales than they will EVER have. Also how can you compare these two types of music? I am a huge Disturbed fan and I have to say if this band DEP is known for poking at other bands, then in my eyes they're pretty sad. Let your music make your mark not some stupid things you say or do. But I guess some people don't know how to do that. Disturbed does that and if anyone has anything to say please keep it to yourself because this Disturbed fan doesn't give a sh#t about DEP and knows Disturbed will continue to rock. Disturbed ROCKS and KICKS ASS!!!!!

spider31

@tremans: There was a window near the stage? Isn't that just asking to be broken eventually? Especially if you have bands like Dillinger playing there.

Seems like, if you're going to book bands like that, you probably want to keep the pretty glass things under the counter.

KurticusMaximus

@KurticusMaximus: I love Dillinger but sadly they are not "better" than this. Getting into public fights with other much bigger and shittier bands is sort of their M.O.

Didn't they have a huge tussle with My Chemical Romance or Good Charlotte a couple of years ago?
