Matchbox Twenty To Return With New Album ‘North’

Add Matchbox Twenty to the ever-growing heap of returning bands who first found prominence in the ’90s. A press release issued today notes that the Rob Thomas-led quartet have teamed up once again with producer Matt Serletic for their first album in 10 years, North. The LP is due out on September 4, and will be preceded by the single “She’s So Mean” sometime in June.

And believe it or not, this will only be Matchbox Twenty’s fourth album since 1996 (f you don’t count their 2007 release Exile On Mainstream, which contained seven new songs and a second disc of previous hits). Now, excuse us while we flash back to 2000 by watching the video for “Bent” below.
