Lupe Fiasco Announces Retirement, Releases “American Terrorists, Pt. 2 (Superheroes)”
Lupe Fiasco has always been a complicated, frustrating artist. His antics range from inspiring to irksome, but the Chicago rapper always seems to truly believe in what he’s doing, even if his fans don’t. But now even he may be tiring of his career’s constant push/pull, announcing he’ll most likely retire after the September 25 release of Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 (welp, so much for Part 2!). But Lu also threw his fans a bone by releasing the unfinished version of “American Terrorist, Pt. 2 (Superheroes).” Check out his message and hear the song after the jump.
This album will probably be my last…its been a pleasure to have all my fans provide so much love an inspiration for me and my family

As for the song, it starts quietly with a piano and light snare before exploding into a smothering dubstep beat with a hazy chorus buried underneath.
