Azealia Banks Dances In Ultra-Cool “Luxury” Video: Watch
Are we spotting a trend with Harlem-based rapstress Azealia Banks? So far, the Spin cover girl‘s videos have been unwaveringly chic and well-executed, whether she’s going viral with the cute/nasty “212” or serving up high-budget glamour with Rankin in the “Liquorice” video. Her latest clip, for “Luxury,” another promo track taken from this summer’s Fantasea mixtape, is somewhere in between the two: shot in noirish black-and-white like “212” but featuring the same haute elegance and goofy-but-sexy choreography as “Liquorice,” the “Luxury” video is quintessentially Banks.
The Clarence Fuller-directed clip primarily takes place on a New York City rooftop, and those visuals align nicely with the sleek ’90s house vibe of “Luxury.” Just one more reason why we can’t wait to get Broke With Expensive Taste with her. Watch the video above.
