Justin Bieber’s Laptop Was Stolen After All

Justin Bieber punked us all. He tweeted to his followers that his computer with “personal footage” was stolen in Tacoma, and then engaged in a Twitter feud with a shadowy user who threatened to release a scandalous footage. But it was all a ruse to drum up hype for today’s release of the found footage-style “Beauty And A Beat” music video.

But! We didn’t get completely trolled by Bieber. His laptop really was stolen according to his handlers and a police report. Tacoma police confirmed that a report was filed October 10 — apparently it was  filed under his tour manager’s name. Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun told Seattle Weekly that the ensuing guerrilla marketing campaign was a case of “making lemonade out of lemons.” So…slow clap?
