Ke$ha’s “Die Young” Stripped Down For ‘Deconstructed’ Acoustic EP: Listen

Ke$ha unveiled what she is calling the acoustic version of “Die Young,” although there’s nary a guitar strum heard and, in fact, it’s quite plugged-in. The club-ready Warrior track has been reworked into a chipper murmur, with a calm synth low end and twinkly analog keyboards floating beside Ke$ha’s intimate vocals. Her voice seems to be free of any real studio dressing, sounding as if she’s in the room with you. It’s a rare humanizing musical moment from the outsize pop animal.

This version of “Die Young” will appear on her five-track Deconstructed EP, which is only available at her online store in a bundle with Warrior (out December 4). Hear the song and check out the EP’s tracklist after the jump.

Ke$ha’s Deconstructed EP tracklist: 1. Old Flames 2. Blow 3. Harold Song 4. Die Young 5. Supernatural
