Here’s what we know so far about Britney Spears‘ next album: Elijah Blake is out, will.i.am is in and  Hit-Boy is in. Aaaand, that’s about it. Thankfully, Hit-Boy recently spoke to MTV and let out a few more details (but ONLY a few). “I’m bringing my world to her world, so I’m infusing what I do in hip-hop and bringing pop elements to it. So it’s just going to be a global sound,” the producer said.

If anyone wondered how this seemingly odd pairing came about, Hit-Boy elaborated: “I wanted to just show people that I’m not just a hip-hop producer … that I’m just a music maker in general. And I can make quality stuff no matter what it is and when she reached out it’s like so perfect … to make it happen.”

As for how many tracks Hit-Boy will appear on, it’s too early to tell. He said right now it’s more about tossing around ideas. And the producer seemed to really enjoy his time with the pop icon. “She’s actually just really nice and cool,” he said. “It’s nothing different than working with everyone else, just a really cool person.” So there you have it, Britney and Kanye West, not so different after all.
