Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” Video: Watch The Sexy, Black & White Clip

Smooth vocals? Check. Fancy footwork? Check. Living the glamorous life? Check. A generous spot from Jay-Z? Check.

Yes, the wait is finally over for Justin Timberlake‘s video for “Suit & Tie,” and it’s just as sexy as we could have imagined. Noirishly shot in black-and-white, what’s most surprising is that it foregoes a big narrative for lots of cool shots of Justin Timberlake showing off nimble choreography, looking like the flyest guy on stage. It’s been so long since we’ve had him that we almost forgot he had moves like that. But only almost.

The song (which is continuing to grow on us!) is well suited for the retro flavor of the David Fincher-directed clip, which feels artistic but not opaque; there’s a lovely cinematic quality to the visuals and enough swagger in JT’s agile dancing to carry us through. But mostly, it gives a really clear indication of the direction he’s headed with this next album era: Whereas Timberlake’s futuristic space-pop was always on the cutting edge, both sonically and visually “Suit & Tie” represents a throwback to a more classic vibe. Here, it works marvelously.

Watch up top.
