Jay-Z and Alicia Keys made pop magic with “Empire State Of Mind,” but now they are Mortal Mobile Enemies. Back in January, Keys was named the Creative Directory of Blackberry, and today (June 5) we learn that Hov is working a $20 million deal with Samsung Mobile. According to the New York Post, Jay-Z is developing a music streaming service for the company’s smartphones, with the specific purpose of promoting his Roc Nation acts like J. Cole and Rita Ora.

Roc Nation previously partnered with Universal Music Group and Live Nation in a $150 million deal, and MTV RapFix points out that Universal Music Group recently signed a two-year deal with Samsung for their Kleek streaming service. This would put Jay in competition with fellow hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre, who is launching the Daisy music streaming service with Jimmy Iovine and Trent Reznor.

The music business, now with more business.
