Adam Lambert To Join The Cast Of ‘Glee’
In what feels like a savvy move for all parties involved, Adam Lambert has been announced to join the cast of Glee. It’s a natural pairing: Lambert’s theatrical style is suited well for the show’s over-the-top productions, and the show can probably benefit from his wattage at this point, especially as ratings have plummeted in recent seasons. (The Season 4 finale was watched by 5.92 million viewers — just about half the viewers who tuned in for the Season 2 premiere, at 11.80 million. Ouch.)
The announcement came via the show creator Ryan Murphy‘s Twitter, as he posted:
I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall.

And Lambert was quick to give it the ol’ RT, adding that he was “so excited.” With a winking emoticon. So that pretty much says it all.
I’m so excited!! ;) “@MrRPMurphy: I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall.”

Here’s the good news: The sheer force of the Lambert’s fan army assembled is enough to part seas and move mountains, so pushing Glee back up the Nielsens shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
Glamberts, mobilize!
