Lady Gaga called into KISS FM UK yesterday (August 21) to answer a few fan questions about ARTPOP and her forthcoming performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 25). Mother Monster wasn’t extremely revealing, but you could tell she was excited to divulge a few details about both projects. The most information came regarding a question about the “To be continued” at the end of her “Telephone” video, to which Gaga replied, a sequel “is surely coming.” “I am very excited to be filming it and doing it,” she said. “Working with Jonas Akerlund for ‘Paparazzi’ as well as the ‘Telephone’ video was such an incredible experience and to finish this trilogy will be great…We’ve already written it, it’s gonna be fantastic, I can’t wait.”

That’s something to get excited about, but she also had some ARTPOP news that may disappoint — depending on where you fall on the Azealia Banks Tolerability Scale. Earlier this year, Banks teased the Lady Gaga collaboration “Red Flame,”  but apparently that may be saved for Banks’ forever-delayed debut. Gaga praised the Harlem rapper but said she’s not on ARTPOP.

As for Gaga’s VMA opening slot, it sounds like we’ll witness an intense, and intensely personal, spectacle. “It is the most physically challenging performance I’ve done, ever,” she said. “And it is so beautiful, it is so indicative of me as an artist, the performance is like a giant metaphor for me.”
