At one point, the woman said that Tucker had become obsessed with a section of a wall in the dining room.

This was a little strange to her as there was nothing special about the specific area that Tucker would stare at.

He would bat at the section of the wall and rub up against it. At first, his owner didn't think anything of it.

As he was spending so much time in the dining room, he didn't want to hang out with his owner at all.

It got to the point where he would not even leave the dining room to eat or use the litter box.

He wasn't animated either, he would just sit and stare at the same section of the wall for hours on end.

She decided that she would work from the dining room one day to see if she could figure out what was so interesting about the wall.

She had two theories as to what might be causing the fixation.

The first was Tucker picking up the scent or sounds of something that might be living behind the wall.

Was It The Light?

The second was perhaps there were some lights that were being cast onto the wall.

Were cars driving by on the street shining lights through the window and Tucker had become very interested in them?

After spending nearly 10 hours in the dining room, Tucker's owner didn't think either of her theories was the cause of the fixation.

She moved Tucker's food and litter box into the dining room as he wasn't eating or going to litter box.

When all else failed, she decided that it would be a good idea to take Tucker to the vet.

Though she thought that Tucker was healthy, she wanted to make sure that there was nothing going on that she wasn't aware of.

This didn't really solve anything as Tucker would just sit curled up in a ball next to the blockage.

She became very worried for Tucker as this had been going on for some time.

He was not eating or using the litter box and she hadn't seen him sleep since this all started. Tucker also had become pretty much unresponsive to her.

Reddit users suggested that she should listen to see if she could hear anything behind the wall.

She put her ear up to the wall but didn't seem to hear anything out of the ordinary. Pest control couldn't come for a number of days for a more in-depth look.

She cut a three-foot by three-foot square in the drywall. There was no sign that anything was living in the wall.

But then Tucker's owner found an extremely old cast iron doorway.

The house was in a very old neighborhood and she did some research and discovered that it was a coal chute. People used to shovel coal down into the basement using the chutes.

The woman was a little taken aback because there was no basement under the dining room.

She realized that meant the chute went into the house's original basement that she did not have access to.
