Imagine knowing that a meal was going to be your last before you died. It's a baffling idea that you could probably only fathom if you were in that situation. It's a situation that many death row inmates are in.

They get a last meal request before they die, and while some are very conventional and normal, many aren't. This article explores all of the weirdest requests from some of the most prolific killers.

Ted Bundy is perhaps one of the most famous serial killers in human history. He was put to death by electric chair in 1989.

He refused to have a special meal, so the prison ended up giving him one that sounded pretty darn good. Steak, eggs, hash browns, toast with butter and jelly, milk and juice.

Smith asked for one of the weirdest last meals that has me scratching my head. He didn't ask for pizza or a burger. Nope, he asked for a pile of dirt.

Not surprisingly, he was denied the request to eat a pile of dirt so he ended up settling for a cup of yogurt.

Feguer was charged with kidnap and murder which led to his death by lethal injection in 1963.

He had a very odd request. He wanted a single olive with the pit inside. When they looked in his pocket after he was killed, he had hid the pit in there. He ended up being buried with the olive pit.

Rector was executed by lethal injection in 1992. His meal was pretty standard and not necessarily out of the ordinary.

He ended up getting a medium-rare steak, fried chicken, cherry Kool-aid (I back that 100%) and a pecan pie. The creepy thing was that he didn't eat the pie because he said he was "saving it for later".

Many inmates serving life in prison or facing the death penalty end up finding religion to comfort them. The same goes for Odell Barnes.

Instead of asking for a last meal, he asked for "Justice, Equality, and World Peace". I mean, I guess that's a noble last meal, but I feel like he could've at least had a pizza slice or something.

Williams wasn't interested in a traditional last meal. He wasn't a fan of eggs, or bacon, or steak or even pizza.

So, instead he wanted to indulge in a sugar rush. He asked for some ice cream and twelve chocolate bars. It's hard to blame him, if you're asking me.

Executed by the state in 2011, Mitchell didn't ask for a full meal. He didn't even ask for a meal in general.

All he wanted was an assorted bag of Jolly Ranchers. I mean, I don't know how much time he had left after he got the bag, but it takes like an hour to eat one of those things.

The architect of the Oklahoma City bombing was Timothy McVeigh. He was charged with 168 counts of murder and died by lethal injection in 2001.

His last meal was very simple. He wanted to have two pints of mint chocolate chip iced cream. No hard food, just his favorite ice cream flavor.

Charged with 33 counts of murder, Gacy was sentenced to death by lethal injection in 1994.

He asked for 12 fried shrimp, a bucket of original recipe KFC, french fries, and a pound of strawberries. It seemed he apparently was thinking about his figure and got some fresh fruit after eating all that fried food.

Although this isn't necessarily a last meal request, it's still interesting to hear about what Hitler's last meal was before he committed suicide.

He ended up eating some sort of pasta with a light sauce. Many think that it was spaghetti but there are critics saying that Hitler loved lasagna.

Diaz was put to death in 2006 at the age of 55. He declined to have the last meal (which is somewhat normal for death row inmates who are so nervous they don't have an appetite).

He was even served a regular prison meal, but he ended up declining that one as well.

Gardner was 49 years old when he was put to death by firing squad. His last meal consisted of lobster tail, apple pie, and vanilla ice cream to eat.

What made his request interesting is that he wanted to watch all of the Lord of the Rings movies while he ate it.

He was executed in 1958, and he ended up getting a last meal that many of us could relate to.

He wanted his meal to be full of pizza and ice cream. He said, " you get cheese, meat, and everything else in one meal. Not so much fuss". Pizza and ice cream is always a win.

Parsons was executed by the state in 1999 but not before he had an interesting last meal request.

He got three Burger King Whoppers, two large orders of fries, a chocolate shake, chocolate ice cream, and a pack of Hubba Bubba grape gum. He also requested to share his meal with his brother and cousin.

I guess if it's going to be your LAST meal on earth, you might as well just go all out. That's exactly what Simmons did. He ordered WAY more than he could ever eat.

Pizza Hut deep dish pizza, Italian sausage, 10 eight-ounce packed with parm cheese, eight ounces of nacho cheese, a family sized bag of Doritos and a lot of other stuff.

There were protests in the streets over the execution of Troy Davis. He also has one of the creepiest last meal requests.

When asked what he wanted, he replied with "nothing, this meal will not be my last". There is a lot of speculation as to what he meant by that. I'm not going to pretend to know, but it's still creepy.

I really don't think that Hussein needs an introduction. His crimes speak for themselves. He was executed by hanging in 2006.

Some sources say that his last meal was a hamburger and french fries. Others say that he was offered a chicken shawarma and rice but he declined the offer.

One of the most famous ranking Nazi officers was hung in Israel in 1962. Eichmann ended up declining a special meal, but he did have a request.

He wanted a bottle of Carmel, which was a famous Israeli wine. He only ended up drinking half of it by the time he was executed.

Miniel asked for one of the largest inmate last meal requests of all time. Apparently he was a hungry dude.

He asked for 20 beef tacos, 20 beef enchiladas, 2 double cheese burgers, a jalapeño pizza, fried chicken, spaghetti, fruit cake, half of a chocolate cake, cookies-n-cream and a caramel fudge ice cream. He also got two cans of coke, root beer and Pepsi to wash it down.

This one is fairly eery. He had one of the strangest requests of all time.

Basically, he ordered a ton of food, including two fried chickens, sliced onions, triple-meat cheese burger, a Pizza Hut meat lovers pizza, three fajitas and literally half of the world's food. The weird part? He refused to eat any of it when it came, saying he wasn't hungry.
