Well, this nurse took to Reddit to show that her boss thanked her over time with a simple thank-you card.
But the thank-you card wasn't addressed to her; it was actually addressed to her husband.
Sharing His Wife
The note read, "Thank you for sharing your wife."
It continued, "As she has been mandated to work several times over the past few months. We recognize that this took her away from her family."
Her Boss Thought This Was Good Enough
The note reads, "Please know, we appreciate and thank you for sharing when we desperately needed her."
Her boss thought this was enough of a thank-you for all the overtime she had done. She had other thoughts.
Nurses Have Had It Rough
For the nurse, "mandatory overtime is supposed to be heavily fined." But unfortunately, it was suspended because of COVID.
And she did not seem impressed that the thank-you card was addressed to her husband for sharing his wife.
Send The Thank You To Your Employee, Not Their Partner
Now, the boss had a good intention and was simply trying to say thank you to the nurse's family for going through this hard time and seeing less of their wife and mom.
But it definitely doesn't come across as sincere.
