Why Does In-N-Out Burger Has Bible Verses On Its Wrappers? Here’s The Touching Real Story
When you order your meals at a fast food restaurant, the wrappers and cups are covered in the restaurant's logo and brand to ensure you don't forget where you ate your delicious food.
But did you know that at In-N-Out Burger, you will find Bible verses on their cups and wrappers?
Here's the inspiring reason why the company includes these verses on its packaging.
Lynsi Snyder and In-N-Out's Legacy
Lynsi Snyder's grandparents founded In-N-Out in 1948; back then it was just a drive through burger stand.
Over time it has grown into a billion-dollar fast food empire that Lynsi now runs as CEO.
In-N-Out Burger, 3rd Best Place To Work
In an interview with The Christian Post, Lynsi spills all!
The article starts by painting Lynsi and In-N-Out Burgers as loved by the employees - both Lynsi and In-N-Out were ranked as #3 Best CEO and Best Workplace by Glassdoor, respectively.
Lynsi's Loss
Diving right into Lynsi's past demons, the reader gets a look at the tragedies that shaped Lynsi's life.
When she was a teenager, her father passed away; and in her grief, Lynsi fell into addiction.
Three Failed Marriages
As life went on, Lynsi faced more hardships with three failed marriages.
After the third divorce, Lynsi was lost; she did not know where to turn; she had hit the lowest point of her life.
"The Deep Need In My Heart Can Only Be Filled By Jesus"
That's when Lynsi had an epiphany; and told the Christian Post,
"I finally found that the deep need in my heart can only be filled by Jesus and my identity in him."
She's Learned From Her Past
She continues by saying,
"I have learned so much through my broken relationships along with the ups and downs that come through marriage, I've been the one to hurt, and I've been hurt. I have gained insight and growth through both sides of the coin."
She's Raising The Bar For In-N-Out
And so thanks to her devotion to Christ, she incorporates biblical principles of trust, care, coaching and excellence into In-N-Out Burgers.
Snyder says, "I strive to maintain what we've started with; Not compromising the quality of product, service, or standards...My grandparents set the bar high and I only try to raise it."
John 3:16
On the cups at In-N-Out you can find a Bible reference to John 3:16,
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Other Verses
More recently, Snyder added two more Bible references, Proverbs 24:16 "...the wicked shall fall into mischief" to the fry containers.
She also added Luke 6:35, "But love ye your enemies, and do good." To the coffee cups.
It Was Actually Uncle Rich
Snyder explains that putting the verses on cups and wrappers is a family touch; "It was my uncle Rich who put the Bible verses on the cups and wrappers in the early '90s."
She continued, "Just before he passed away, he had just accepted the Lord and wanted to put that little touch of his faith on our brand."
