Just when you thought the performance lineup for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards couldn’t get any more major, Drake has announced on Twitter that he’ll also be performing at the show. He’ll be joining a plethora of his peers on the VMA stage including Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Ariana GrandeRobin Thicke and Kanye West. Did we also mention that pop princesses du jour Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are set to open and close the show, respectively?

There’s no official word on what song Drizzy will be performing (though his tweeted included “#Started”), but he has plenty of options: 1. Do a swagged-out rendition of “Started From The Bottom,” 2. Transform Barclays into a teary-eyed wedding reception with “Hold On, We’re Going Home” or 3. Recreate OVO Fest and have Yeezy bumrush the stage.

Check out Drake’s excitement-filled tweet below.

With the mega-lineup, along with imminent surprises (that *NSYNC reunion rumor better be true!), this year’s VMAs are shaping up to be a stark improvement on last year’s travesty.
